There are problems our world is struggling with which require very drastic changes to be made to the world order. Unbridled capitalism leads to extreme power differences that in turn makes it extremely difficult to control what capitalists do to the world. Thus they cause plunder of the Earth and cause catastrophic damage to the ecosystem. Patriarchy and caste maintain a social framework that prevents rebellion.
When confronted with the enormity of this challenge, if one says radical change is hard, it is understandable. But what happens when one denies the need for radical change altogether? What happens when there's a constant tone policing of the radicals? When there's a demand to keep the demands to minor adjustments, or symbolic victories?
This has been the recurring theme of a few of my posts in the last few months. |
