Why I chose to be a Doctor, over Physicist?

I’ve decided to join medicine and become a doctor, while loving Physics to the core and after dreaming to be a physics professor for a few years. Why?
My liking of Physics is just fascination. I read every new theories presented in the subject, but believe few. I may get an MSc or PhD in Physics, but what if I don’t trust the subject I like?

In the period that Einstein was active as a professor, one of his students came to him and said: “The questions of this year’s exam are the same as last years!” “True,” Einstein said, “but this year all answers are different.”

I don’t want to risk my life and learn this western science.
I just want to live a life that can be of any use to others, (and comfortable to me) and I believe being a doctor can perfectly fit my needs.

Your observations on physics are intriguing – to say. I once asked a doctor, “Some one said that the job of a doctor is to amuse the patient while nature cures the disease. Is this true?” And I got the reply that it could be true, at least in the Indian scenario! So, not much consolation there either. I think that individuals ought to make a difference to fields and not vice versa.

A part of my latest decision’s credit comes to you. Since that chat I have racked my brains and found that I truly love medicine and was not liking to go into it only because my father is a doctor, and he is angry when patients come to him during late-nights. (but, I came to know that it is due to his age, earlier he used to go to patients home even in boats at near midnight).
Then I understood that this is a field of purity and passion.
