  • Know Your Value…………

    A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note.

    In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this Rupee 500 note?”

    Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this note to one of you
    but first let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the note up.
    He then asked, “Who still wants it?”

    Still the hands were up in the air.
    “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and
    started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all
    crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?”
    Still the hands went into the air.

    “My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
    No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not
    decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-.

    Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt
    by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as
    though we are worthless.
    But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose
    your value.

    You are special. Don’t ever forget it! Never let yesterday’s disappointments overshadow tomorrow’s dreams.

    ” VALUE HAS A VALUE ONLY IF ITS VALUE IS VALUED”

  • Noticed your Followers Gadget is Slightly Different? And mine too?

    Blogger has updated its followers gadget to include the Google FriendConnect feature too, so that everybody with a gmail, yahoo or aim open id can now follow the blogs.

    It’s just very simple, earlier you could follow only if you had a blog for yourself. But now, you can follow with just an open ID that almost all of us are having (or that can be created easily)

    And also, now we can invite friends to read a blog, which was earlier difficult (I used to email all my contacts about my blogger post, and once, I even mailed Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, unknowingly to his email apj@abdulkalam.com because he was in my contacts list.

    The best thing about this change is that, now you can extend your friendfeed account to your blogspot blog, which was earlier almost impossible for beginners due to the necessity of uploading two files to the website.

    Now if you want to read more from the authority follow this link: Blogger Buzz: Friend Connect: Grow Your Blog’s Community

    Or if you just want to check out how it works move the mouse towards your right.

  • Bucephalus and Kanthaka – two Horses from History

    Heard of Bucephalus or Kanthaka. From the title you’d have understood that they are two horses. But the fact is that they are not just horses. They are the horses of two great men.

    Bucephalus was Alexander the Great‘s horse and the most famous actual horse of antiquity (a long period of cultural history centered on the Mediterranean Sea, comprising the interlocking civilizations of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome).

    Now, Kanthaka was the favourite horse of Prince Siddhartha, (who came to be known as Gautama Buddha)

    Two creatures etched in history by the grace of their masters.

  • Isn’t Recession Fear-in-Mind-Borne

    orkut – What is recession?
    from India (IC 370)

    This Story is about a man who once upon a time was selling Hot dogs by the roadside.
    He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers.
    He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio.
    His eyes were weak, so he never watched television.
    But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hot dogs.
    He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to increase his sales.
    His sales and profit went up.
    He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to sale more.
    He recruited few more supporting staff to serve more customers.
    He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove.
    As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from College, joined his father.

    Then something strange happened.
    The son asked, “Dad, aren’t you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?”
    The father replied, “No, but tell me about it.” The son said, “The international situation is terrible.
    The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times.”
    The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV.
    He ought to know and his advice should not be taken lightly.
    So the next day onwards, the father cut down the his raw material order and buns, took down the colourful signboard,
    removed all the special schemes he was offering to the customers and was no longer as enthusiastic.
    He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs.
    Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his hot dog stand.
    And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the profit.
    The father said to his son, “Son, you were right”.
    “We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time.”

    Moral of The Story: It’s all in your MIND! And we actually FUEL this recession much more than we think we do!!!!!!!!!! !!

    What can we take away from this story??

    1. How many times we confuse intelligence with good judgment?

    2. Choose your advisers carefully but use your own judgment

    3. A person or an organization will survive forever, if they have the 5 Cs

    * Character
    * Commitment
    * Conviction
    * Courtesy
    * Courage

    The tragedy today is that there are many walking encyclopedias that are living failures.
    The More practical and appropriate views on this economic recession is:
    “This is the time to reunite together for any small or a big organization,
    this is the time to motivate and retain people which are the biggest asset,
    this is the time to show more commitments to the customers,
    this is the time show values of our company to the world,
    and this is the time to stand by our Nation”.

  • How to Make Blog Post Through Emails in Blogger, ie Send an Email and It Will Become a Blog Post, How

    Ever thought it would be a lot easier if you could make blog posts directly from your GMail or yahoo mail inbox. But it’s possible too. Blogger allows this option of having a unique email address to which you can send an email such that the subject of the mail becomes the title and the body becomes the blog post.
    To do this, you should create a Mail-to-Blogger address which you will use to send posts via email to your blog by going to Settings | Email

    The format of the email address is username.secretword@blogger.com .

    Here, the secret word is something that we can specify so that only we may send emails to the blog.

    Otherwise, you can also make your email public so that others can post to your blog. But, when doing this, make sure that the posts are not published immediately, because, in that case, this feature, like anything else, may be misused.

    Sometimes email programs append text to the bottom of each sent message; to make sure this cruft doesn’t get posted to your blog, put #end at the end of your post.
